Experience village life in 19th Century New Zealand. Interact with villagers in period costumes as they go about daily tasks, play Victorian era children’s games, perhaps watch Fencible soldiers go through their drills, or enjoy a marching band.
Kids, it’s time to put down your cellphone and pick up the chalk! Our school visitors get to experience interactive classroom learning in the 1840-1880 period.
Live in the 21st century, but get married in the finery and elegance of the 19th Century.
Built in 1852, this small one room cottage with connecting room and kitchen is the ideal space for birthday parties and social events.
The grass lawns throughout the village provide a peaceful venue for weddings and functions. The pond and rustic cottages provide a picturesque backdrop for photographs.
It may have been built in 1851 but this authentic Victorian homestead has all the facilities and technology you need for a 21st Century meeting, function, wedding, seminar or exhibition.
Get married in in our 1867 church. Painted white walls and wooden pews create the perfect setting for those wedding memories and photos.
