Wrap up for a winter stroll around the Village, exploring what life was like in 1840s Tamaki Makaurau Auckland. Experience the following attractions:

  • Feed the chooks: every day at 10:45am

  • Make a rag rug: Saturdays & Sundays 11-12:30

  • Butter making: Sundays 11-3pm

  • Winter food preservation mini-tour: Sundays 2pm

  • Self-directed children’s crafts on weekends

For the full experience visit, us for our next LIVE DAY on Sunday 12 June! Meet costumed Villagers, learn how to make candles and churn butter, attend a school lesson, and get an insight into baking on the coal range. Interactive activities and demonstrations take place throughout the day.

Seniors' mornings! Running every Monday from 10 am – 1 pm, meet friends for brunch, lunch or coffee at Homestead Café and then pop into the Village for a wander and a nosey. Entry $4 with ID or a gold card.

Bread Making: Kneed to know more?! Learn about sourdough with Jim Duckworth! Come along to Howick Historical Village over 2 days and watch a live demonstration on how to make sourdough bread in our brick oven. Check out our Events page for more info.
